June 15, 2009: A short film by two Filipino directors has made it as one of six winners from the worldwide video contest organized by the US State Department and voted by the public online. The film titled “Mabuhay ang Taong Magiting (Long Live the Fearless Man)” is a commentary on the state of Philippine democracy. "It took novice directors Migs Ocampo and Aissa Penafiel only three hours to shoot the short film. Pleased with their works inclusion, they said the short film is timely for the upcoming 2010 elections." “Intention namin to shed critical light on this issue of what is democracy?
