We and the entire FILAMCLUB community, members and friends are deeply grieved to learn of the passing away of Cresencia Sanchez, our dear Mama Cres. She is a legend, a great inspiration to everyone, truly admired, and was a caring mother to all FILACMLUB members and friends. Mama Cres was also a FILAMCLUB pioneer, one of the few who was instrumental in spearheading the Club back in 1969.
This webmaster and his wife have known Mama Cres for over 13 years before she went back to the Philippines three years ago. She loved to read the Bible, truly loved the Lord Jesus, and cared so much for people, despite her arthritis pain. We will never forget those fun memories together; having Bible studies, going out to have snacks, driving around and visiting people; and oftentimes, Mama Cres would spend the weekends with us.
On one hand we will never see her when visiting the Philippines, but we also have great assurance that she is in a better place with her Lord for eternity. Mama Cres passed away last Friday, March 20, 2009. She was 85 years old.
